A Grand Night For Singing opened the 1994 Broadway season and received a Tony nomination for Best Musical. This musical revue includes more than thirty Rodgers and Hammerstein songs, classics, and lesser-known discoveries. By virtually any standard, Richard Rodgers was the pre-eminent theatre composer of the 20th century. His melodies are charming, carefree, bittersweet, inspirational, haunting, and lilting. Poetry*Prose Ensemble
Many of SRO’s members participate in the SRO Poetry*Prose Program coordinated by Dick Luckay. The SRO Poetry*Prose performers reach out to under-served audiences in senior centers and retirement homes offering people an opportunity to sing, laugh and reminisce. If you’re interested in reading poetry and prose to congenial colleagues, seniors and school children or on the radio, contact Dick Luckay at (614) 868-1321.
